“The heart that gives thanks is a happy one, for we cannot feel thankful and unhappy at the same time.” -Douglas Wood
We are so thankful for the incredible residents, family members, and associates who make our community such a warm and supportive place to call home. Happy Thanksgiving from everyone at Eagan Pointe Senior Living!
One of Eagan Pointe’s residents, Millie, recently had her 100th birthday! She celebrated with a special Zoom call from friends and family, gift baskets, flowers, and, of course, yummy birthday cupcakes. Please join us in congratulating and wishing a very happy birthday to Millie! ????
Ricardo, a member of Eagan Pointe’s dietary team, celebrated his five-year work anniversary last month. We are so lucky to have you in our community, and we can’t thank you enough for all your hard work and positivity over the years. Please join us in thanking and congratulating our friend, Ricardo!
Eagan Pointe Senior Living associate, Matt, recently had his 10-year work anniversary! We celebrated with delicious gourmet cupcakes. We received a package from the company who made his commemorative 10-year anniversary jacket, but it turned out to be promotional items. We decided to make the most of it and have some fun, so we still gave it to him as a joke while we wait for the jacket. What a good sport and AMAZING team member! We appreciate you and everything you do for our community. Please join us in thanking and congratulating Matt on 10 years with Eagan Pointe! ???
The confirmation class at St. Thomas Becket Catholic Church in Eagan wanted to thank and show support for the Eagan Pointe staff during these difficult times, so they surprised us with gift bags and a heartwarming message:
“We want to say THANK YOU for all of your efforts over the past several months. With COVID affecting everyone, you are truly the unsung heroes. Please enjoy these treats as our way of showing that we appreciate you. Stay safe and healthy, and God bless.” -St. Thomas Becket Confirmation Zoom Group Teens
“The soldier above all others prays for peace, for it is the soldier who must suffer and bear the deepest wounds and scars of war.” -Douglas MacArthur
Today and every day we must honor those who have served our country to defend our freedoms. From everyone at Eagan Pointe Senior Living, thank you and happy Veterans Day.
We certainly got into the Halloween spirit here at Eagan Pointe last month! Several residents made Halloween lanterns of either Frankenstein’s monster, a ghost, or a more classic jack-o’-lantern. We also made treat bags for students at the nearby St. John Neumann Preschool. In return, they gave us handcrafted pumpkins for a pumpkin patch. And since they couldn’t join us in-person, they also sent us photos of the children all dressed up for a “costume parade.” Thank you so much for the kind, fun, and festive gifts – they’re the perfect Halloween decorations for us all to admire and enjoy!
We kept the Halloween theme rolling with a socially distanced coloring activity! Participants tapped into their artistic side while coloring a “Happy Halloween” picture, and the results were boo-tiful. Take a look! ????
Eagan Pointe’s leadership team members dressed up as pumpkins for Halloween this year. Check out how great they looked all together as a pumpkin patch! And, since Halloween is all about fun, we had to strike a pose for the traditional “silly picture!”
More Halloween fun to close out the month of October! We held a “zombie hunt” activity where residents searched for hidden “zombies” all around Eagan Pointe. The hunt was successful and the participants received yummy caramel apples as their prize.
