Please join our Southview Senior Living Communities team for the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s®, the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds to fight Alzheimer’s disease. Together, we can advance research to treat and prevent Alzheimer’s, and provide programs and support to improve the lives of millions of affected Americans.

Our team has raised $10,129 which is already over our goal of $10,000!

The 2017 Walk to End Alzheimer’s will take place on Saturday, September 9th at the Target Field in Minneapolis, MN. The registration begins at 7:30 AM, then the cermony at 9:00 AM, and lastly the walk at 9:25 AM. The walk is a 1 or 2.3 mile option and welcomes participants of all ages and abilities. Register to participate in the Walk, your fundraising dollars fuel our mission, and your participation helps to change the level of Alzheimer’s awareness in our community.

Bird Show

August 16th, 2017

Brad and Tracy Ruth, whose mother lives at Eagan Pointe Senior Living brought some of their Parrots in to Eagan Pointe for the tenants to see and ask questions about. Brad and Tracy foster birds and at any given time have 14-20 birds at their house. They taught the tenants a little about each bird and what they would be like if they were in the wild. They even let Taylor, Activity Director, participate by holding a couple of the birds.

Maple Street Ramblers

August 8th, 2017

Eagan Pointe hosted the Maple Street Ramblers, a 7 piece Dixieland band. They got the crowd singing and dancing along. Even had the tenants marching along to “When the Saints Go Marching”!

National Night Out BBQ and Alzheimer’s Association Fundraiser!

August 7th, 2017

Eagan Pointe hosted their 3rd Annual National Night Out BBQ for tenants, friends and family. This event also doubled as their annual Alzheimer’s Association Fundraiser. There were yard games out back, a DJ and of course delicious food. There was also a gift basket raffle and the grand prize of a Radio Flyer wagon filled with gifts that were donated by Eagan Pointe management and staff. Ricardo, a dietary staff member, was the lucky winner of the wagon! The night brought lots of socializing and even some karaoke done by Eagan Pointe tenant Sam Cleveland!  It was a huge success!

Rachel’s Goodbye Party

Activity Coordinator, Rachel Ward, is moving to Connecticut but before she left the tenants of Eagan Pointe threw her a Goodbye party!
